Bike and Roll Washington DC Opens Third DC Metro Location

WASHINGTON, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bike and Roll Washington DC announces the opening of their third DC Metro location within the new Bikestation at Union Station. For seven years, Bike and Roll Washington DC has led professionally guided bicycle tours and rentals of bikes from the Downtown DC location at the Old Post Office Pavilion. A second location offering rentals opened in Old Town Alexandria, VA in March 2009. In the newest location, in addition to bike rentals and tours, a full service repair shop as well as retail items will be available. Bicycle rentals include Trek comfort, performance, road and tandem bikes. Children's bikes and accessories such as tandem trailers and burleys are also offered. All bike rentals include a helmet, U-lock, bike rack, flat kit and map. You may rent a bike from one location and drop off at either of the other two shops for a small fee. Rentals are available in increments of 2-hours, 4-hours, for a full day. Extended rentals may also be arranged. Beginning in spring 2010, the popular Capital Sites tour will be offered from Union Station. During frequent stops on the three hour tour, guides share a bit of history, unique facts and practical touring tips. Sites include the Capitol Building, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, several Smithsonian Museums, the Washington Monument, the war memorials, and the Lincoln Memorial. Daily secure bicycle parking for non-members of the Bikestation can be purchased through Bike and Roll Washington DC. Monthly and annual memberships for secure bike parking are available through Bikestation (www.bikestation.com). The facility also provides lockers and changing rooms. Bike and Roll Washington DC will offer full bike service to both members and non-members of the Bikestation. Professional mechanics perform all manners of service from a basic tune-up to a full overhaul.
